Programme

Welcome to Our Nursing Program!

At College of nursing siciences Alor, we are committed to providing students with a comprehensive and uninterrupted nursing education that prepares them for successful careers in healthcare. Our Nursing Program offers a structured curriculum designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and clinical experience necessary to excel in the field of nursing.
Our program structure is as follows:

  1. ND/HND Nursing Program: This four-year program consists of two years dedicated to National Diploma (ND) and two years to Higher National Diploma (HND). Students begin with the ND Nursing Program, a non-terminal program that serves as the foundation for advanced studies in nursing.

  2. Supervised Clinical Work Experience (SCWE): Throughout the program, students participate in SCWE, which is divided into two parts of eight weeks each. This hands-on clinical experience allows students to apply their classroom learning in real healthcare settings and develop essential practical skills under supervision.

  3. Council's Professional Exam: After successful completion of HND I Nursing, students are eligible to sit for Council's Professional Exam for General Nursing. Additionally, HND Nursing graduates have the option to specialize in Midwifery or Public Health Nursing, leading to registration and licensing as Registered Midwives (RM) or Registered Public Health Nurses (RPHN).

  4. Supervised Clinical Experience (Attachment): Following graduation, HND Nursing graduates undertake a mandatory one-year Supervised Clinical Experience (Attachment) in an approved healthcare facility or institution. This attachment provides valuable hands-on experience and further prepares graduates for their future roles in healthcare.

  5. National Youth Service Corps (NYSC): Upon successful completion of the one-year Supervised Clinical Attachment, graduates are mobilized for a one-year National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program, where they contribute to national development while gaining additional experience and exposure.

Our Nursing Program emphasizes academic excellence, clinical competency, and professional development, ensuring that our graduates are well-prepared to meet the challenges of modern healthcare and make meaningful contributions to society.

Join us at consalor and embark on a rewarding journey toward a fulfilling career in nursing! For more information, please contact us at info@consalor.edu.ng or visit the contact page.
